This was the first time we had left the care of our two horses and two dogs to somebody outside the family circle but we need not have worried.  Despite her youth, Ellie is a lovely friendly and capable young lady who clearly loves animals.  She checked in with us almost every day via text to let us know all was well. On our return the house was clean and tidy, but more importantly, the dogs were very relaxed and happy.  The horses were well and their yard swept and tidy.  When we next plan a holiday we will definitely have no hesitation in asking Ellie, via West Wales Pet Watch to come and look after our canine and equine family again. Its such a relief to know they are in safe hands and comfortable in their own home.

We needed a pet sitter for the very first time and at short notice. I was reluctant to choose just from adverts and after much researching and reading recommendations etc. enquired of West Wales Pet Watch, where Lyn matched us with Sue, who was brilliant with my needy dogs.  I would not hesitate to ask again. A brilliant job, done well. Every detail catered for and more importantly I felt at ease leaving my precious charges in the care of Sue. They were happy and settled and I had a detailed log to read on my return. I would recommend giving as much information as possible to your sitter, i.e. feeds, medications, toilets, sleeps, interactions and communications etc. to keep your animals happy and in their routine as much as possible. I know my sitter was pleased to receive this information beforehand and she used it for both her and my animal's benefit. Definitely worth recommending.

Everything about the pet and house sit was exemplary. The set-up visit from Lyn and Sue was very professional, yet warm and re-assuring. Sue, the designated sitter, struck an immediate rapport with our very elderly spaniel. Barbara was immediately won over. Sue arrived early on the appointed day and immediately put us at our ease. Upon our return, after a long weekend away, our elderly spaniel was very calm and contented. We liked the detailed log that Sue had kept of the whole weekend. We had been very uncertain about having a stranger in our home, with our incontinent old dog. Sue had clearly coped with all and any issues and seemed as calm as our dog when we returned. We have used West Wales Pet Watch several times now and this time had the lovely Beryl & John come to look after our cats and chickens while we were away for the weekend. Although they were new to our pets I knew we wouldn't have to worry as the people they send are always caring and quiet natured people. The cats were well looked after and were nice and relaxed when we returned which is a good sign and the chickens were happily pottering around. We have been putting off holidays together for 3 years as we have such elderly dogs that we hate to leave. We needed to have a break away together and it was with great trepidation we booked 4 days away, leaving our beloved dogs [and chickens, and ducks] with Lyn. I'd looked at hiring a pet sitter several times in the past but never quite managed to find anyone I felt comfortable with until I met Lyn. She put me at ease straight away with her calm and steady manner. I have just returned from a weekend away having used the services of a pet sitter for the first time. At incredibly short notice, Lyn bent over backwards to accommodate my needs. I can't praise Lesley enough! As soon as she came into the house to visit, I knew that she would be just right. My two elderly cats are not very good with strangers usually, but they were very calm and friendly with her, and there was none of their usual growling and scowling. She looked after them perfectly, and for the first time ever, there was no sulking on my return! Both cats were very happy, very clean, and very well-fed - and had clearly had plenty of fuss! I was very pleased with Moira, she very kindly sent me short text after her first visit to reassure me that Suki was ok, which I really appreciated as a slightly anxious pet owner! I was so pleased that Moira spent time with Suki each day, giving time and attention, which showed me a truly caring and thoughtful person.  Then I had a little note from Moira when I returned home, with further info re the cat on how she had eaten, cat tray etc. which again went the extra mile and made me feel very happy that Suki had been given such good care and human affection!  Moira showed by deed that she is a truly caring and compassionate pet sitter.
